Roger Bischof has gained more than a decade of experience within Big-Law and Big4-Accounting firms (Baker McKenzie, Deloitte) in both Switzerland (Zurich, Geneva) and Asia (Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore).

Roger is the Chairman of both Asia Transformation & Turnaround Association (ATTA) and Swiss Turnaround Association (STA) / Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Switzerland. He also served as a member of the board of the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SwissCham) for several years.

Roger speaks English, German, French, Spanish and Mandarin and focuses his practice primarily on cross-border restructurings, market entry and exit advice, foreign direct investments, international business structuring, inbound and outbound M&A, PE and VC. Roger is dually-qualified as a lawyer and chartered certified accountant. He studied in China (Tongji University/Jiaotong University Shanghai, Beijing Normal University) and the US and graduated with a Master of Arts in Law and Economics from University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a PhD from University of Berne, Switzerland. In addition, he was awarded the designations of Fellow, INSOL International, Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and Certified Turnaround Analyst (CTA).

Dr. iur. Jun Zheng (郑军)

Jun Zheng is a PRC-certified lawyer with a PhD in law from University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He is fluent in Chinese, English and French. Jun has gained more than a decade of academic and professional experience in cross-border restructurings, M&A, financial law, international arbitration law, particularly in matters regarding the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments including insolvency and bankruptcy decrees, international arbitral awards as well as foreign notarial deeds in both China and Switzerland. He teaches ‘Doing Business in Asia’ and ‘Comparative Law’ as part of the LLM and Bachelor programs of University of Fribourg and University of Lausanne.

Jun previously worked as a legal advisor for an international law firm in Shanghai and Zurich and as an Asian law expert for the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law (ISDC) in Lausanne where he advised companies, governments, courts and international organizations on Chinese law (incl. Hong Kong Law), Taiwanese law and laws of other East-Asian jurisdictions.

Jun holds a master’s degree in law from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. To achieve his PhD, he studied in both China and Switzerland (Wuhan University/University of Fribourg). He is the author of an academic book and several publications and was an editor of ISDC’s Newsletter. Jun is a member of the European Association of Private International Law and the China Society of Private International Law.

 

Farooq Mann

Farooq Ahmad Mann is the founder and director of MANN & ASSOCIATES PAC, Chartered Accountants of Singapore. He has more than 20 years of experience in restructuring and turnaround including receiverships, members’ and creditors’ voluntary winding up, court appointed liquidation, provisional liquidation, judicial management, scheme of arrangement, and special accountant roles.

Farooq holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham and is a Fellow of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Additionally, he is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a member of the UK Association of Business Recovery Professionals, the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

 

Nicolas Véron

Nicolas Véron advises clients on various accounting, tax and business management matters. He regularly works on the establishment or relocation of international companies to various Swiss cantons according to the criteria selected by the client (taxation, language etc.). He also focuses his professional practice on the financial and tax aspects of corporate restructurings and reorganizations.

Nicolas is a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Audit Expert, Fellow of INSOL International, Board member of the Swiss Turnaround Association and a member of EXPERTsuisse and the International Fiscal Association. He holds a LL.M Tax from University of Geneva, a Master in Finance from University of Lyon, a Master in Business Law from  HEC Lausanne and University Paris Panthéon-Assas and graduated from HEC Montreal. 

Nicolas started his career as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte. After that he headed the audit department of a major fiduciary in the French part of Switzerland and became the CFO of an international PE fund in Switzerland.

Zhang Yanqiu (张艳秋)

Yanqiu Zhang graduated in Economics and Law with distinction from Zhongnan University. She does not only possess a thorough understanding of Chinese law but she also acquired practice and experience through an internship with the public security bureau. Yanqiu has a strong international mindset and enjoys working on cross-border matters at the intersection of law and business.
